A rotary dryer is one of the most popular types of industrial dryers composed of a steel cylindrical shell that rotates around a shaft (Mujumdar, 2006; Yliniemi, Koskinen, & Leiviskä, 1998).The cylindrical shell has a length of 5–90 m, a diameter of 0.3–5 m, and a rotation of 1–5.The wet material enters the cylinder from the upper part and is discharged from the lower part (Fig. 3.7).
